Part of the body of work that began with the Eroticism project, this print applies the same visual language and reference to a male figure. Taken from the wonderful book of Theo Ehret's wrestling photographs "Exquisite Mayhem" (Taschen, 2001) a masked wrestler poses, proudly voluptuous and exuding both male sexuality and violence. These qualities, sewn together with the visual motif of the upholstery pin, present themselves as an ambivalent, hermetic unit. An agressive, violent closedness, more than a claustrophobic interior space.
